Naxalite dies in police custody in Chhattisgarh: छत्तीसगढ़ के दंतेवाड़ा जिले में पुलिस हिरासत में एक नक्सली की मौत हो गई. बताया जा रहा है कि शनिवार शाम को नक्सली की तबीयत बिगड़ी तो उसे जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। जहां इलाज के दौरान रात करीब साढ़े 12 बजे उसकी मौत हो गई। मृतक नक्सली अरनपुर आईईडी ब्लास्ट घटना में शामिल था. जिसमें एक ड्राइवर समेत 11 जवान शहीद हो गए.
पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि नक्सली का नाम पोदिया माड़वी (40) है, जो जिले के अरनपुर थाना क्षेत्र के पेडका गांव का रहने वाला था. शनिवार 27 जनवरी की शाम पुलिस गांव पहुंची. मुखबिर की सूचना के बाद उसे गांव से ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया. जब उन्हें दंतेवाड़ा जिला मुख्यालय लाया गया तो शाम करीब साढ़े पांच बजे उनकी तबीयत अचानक बिगड़ने लगी।
अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया
जिसके बाद पुलिस ने पोदिया को तुरंत दंतेवाड़ा जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया। जहां डॉक्टरों ने उसका इलाज शुरू किया. हालांकि, रात करीब साढ़े 12 बजे पोदिया की मौत हो गई। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि अभी तक यह स्पष्ट नहीं हो सका है कि वह किस बीमारी से पीड़ित थे. आज पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव परिवार को सौंप दिया जाएगा.
आईईडी ब्लास्ट की घटना में शामिल था
पुलिस का कहना है कि, अप्रैल 2023 में टीसीओसी के दौरान अरनपुर में नक्सलियों ने आईईडी ब्लास्ट किया था. इस घटना में डीआरजी जवानों से भरी गाड़ी ब्लास्ट कर उड़ा दी गई. जिसमें 10 जवान और एक ड्राइवर शहीद हो गए. यह साल 2023 की सबसे बड़ी नक्सली घटना थी.

Police officials said that the name of the Naxalite is Podia Madvi (40), who was a resident of Pedka village of Aranpur police station area of the district. The police reached the village on the evening of Saturday 27 January. After the informer’s information, he was arrested from the village itself. When he was brought to Dantewada district headquarters, his health suddenly started deteriorating at around 5.30 pm.

After which the police immediately admitted Podia to Dantewada District Hospital. Where doctors started his treatment. However, Podia died at around 12.30 am. Police officials said that it is not yet clear which disease he was suffering from. The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem today.
Was involved in IED blast incident
Police say that in April 2023, during TCOC, Naxalites had carried out an IED blast in Aranpur. In this incident, a vehicle filled with DRG soldiers was blasted and blown up. In which 10 soldiers and one driver were martyred. This was the biggest Naxalite incident of the year 2023.
